The Solution
I've noticed that when I'm focused on my problems, my stress, my inadequacies, and my pains I'm blinded to the problems, the stresses, the inadequacies, and the pains of those in need around me—making me useless to them and myself.
But when I'm focused on the problems, the stresses, the inadequacies, and the pains of those in need around me I am blinded to my own, and given the incredible opportunity to move in their lives through the work of the Holy Spirit within me.
This in turn puts my problems in perspective, my stresses melt away in the warmth of Christ living in me, my inadequacies reveal the power of Christ working through me, and my pains become the learning experience needed to know how to relieve the pains of others?
Not only this, but when others catch this same heart and aren’t so focused on their problems, stresses, inadequacies, and pains, they see mine and work to move in my life. In the end, each of our problems, stresses, inadequacies, and pains is addressed according to how God creates us—to be interdependent within the family of faith.
Therefore, our real problem is self-centeredness, and our real solution is others-centeredness (also known as "The Heart of Christ").
