Bible Study Journal
Get the most out of your Bible Study and keep track of your learning with this simple worksheet
How to use the Bible Study Journal
The simple worksheet linked above was designed to move you deeper into your personal Bible Study. Use it as you see fit. Keep in mind, while you are using a “worksheet,” think of it more like a guided journal—you aren’t going to get graded on it. That said,
if you are reading through a whole book of the Bible, you don’t need to fill out the same background info with each worksheet.
You also don’t have to fill in all the lines—there may not be 14 points to the outline. Or there may be more and you need to add a piece of paper.
They author may not be intending to convey anything more to the audience than the story of an actual event—not everything is a sermon in the Bible.
You might not have any questions about cultural background
You might not have any theological questions
You might not draw out any important principles
You might not have any real personal application for the passage
These things are simply listed to make you think and go deeper and to keep track of what you are reading and learning. Make it work for you. Don't be legalistic about it. Just enjoy the process. If you don’t, then this type of study might not be what you need and that’s ok.
“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
